Smoke Testing For Mercedes Inlet Leaks

It's not just having diagnostic code readers but diagnostic gear as well. Here is an example of an air leak for low boost pressure. By using a diagnostic smoke machine and a laser beam torch it can detect the smoke where maybe the eye can not. Below the second picture shows the beam above the engine due to smoke leaking from the manifold on this Mercedes ML. The beam is not visible unless smoke is detected.
