Meet the team at GM Vehicle Services
Gary started GM Vehicle Services many years ago, from its humble beginnings in a small shed on a farm in Medstead, to the fully equipped 3000 sq foot workshop they occupy today.
Of course, this didn’t come easily, but with many late nights and dedication to his work his many happy customers spread the word. GM Vehicle Services soon became one of Hampshire’s leading independent garages that now offers a wide range of vehicle services from MOT Tests, DPF Cleaning, Servicing and Repairs to Classic Car Restorations and Complex Engine Diagnostics.
Gary’s worked in the motor trade since leaving school, working his way up the ranks from a lowly apprentice. In his drive to further his knowledge he worked for several Main Dealers as a diagnostic technician. Gary’s automotive journey continued on as he was head hunted by several Independent Garages to run their workshops. This gave him the solid background he needed to run his own successful business.
Gary also has a love of vintage cars and motor sport, both current and historic. He is also an avid F1 follower. Gary currently has several projects going on, which include the full restoration of a bay window Volkswagen Camper which he is hoping to show alongside his Custom VW Bug. Gary's pride and joy is his 1976 Toyota Celica, which he has lovingly restored over the years all to original spec and colour.
Of course there’s more to GM Vehicle Services than just ‘The Boss’, for behind every successful boss is a great team!
Front of house is taken care of by Amy, Gary’s wife, and new member of staff Ben. No matter what your automotive problems are, they will advise you of cost, get you booked in and keep you informed of progress throughout your vehicle's repair. Working alongside Gary in the workshop is Nick on repairs and servicing, and Tony on MOT testing. Lastly there's Kevin, the guard dog, although you're more likely to be licked than bitten!
